How this website works
This website uses no cookies, no tracking and no analytics tools. There is no audience measurement, no profiling, and no third-party services are embedded.
The fonts and the overview map are also served from our own server. Loading the pages therefore establishes no connection to Google, to a map service or to a content delivery network. A consent banner is consequently not required.
Visiting the website and server log files
When you access this website, your browser transmits technically necessary data which the hosting provider stores in what are known as log files. The following are recorded:
- the page requested, and the date and time of the request
- the volume of data transferred and confirmation that the request succeeded
- browser type and version, and the operating system used
- the previously visited page (referrer), where transmitted
- the IP address, truncated or anonymised where the provider supports this
Legal basis and retention of log files
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the technically faultless operation and the security of the website. This data is not combined with other data sources.
Log files are deleted after seven days at the latest, unless they are exceptionally needed for longer to investigate a specific security incident. The exact retention period should be checked with the hosting provider in use and added here.
Hosting and processing on our behalf
This website is operated by an external service provider. The provider processes the data described above exclusively on our behalf and is bound by our instructions. A data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.
The name and address of the hosting provider are to be added here.
Getting in touch and enquiries
If you contact us via the contact form, the property valuation form, by email or by telephone, we process the details you provide in order to answer your enquiry.
As long as no submission endpoint is configured, the form opens your own email programme with the details filled in. In that case the data is not transmitted to our server; it is sent by you, via your own email provider, when you send the message.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry is aimed at concluding or performing a contract, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
We delete your enquiry once it has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention obligations stand in the way. Commercial and tax retention periods are six or ten years depending on the document.
Alerts about new properties
If you leave your email address for alerts about suitable properties, we use it exclusively for that purpose. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by an informal message to the email address given above. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.
Shortlist stored in your browser
When you add properties to your shortlist, your browser stores the reference numbers locally on your device (local storage). This information does not leave your device and is not transmitted to us.
This is a function you have expressly requested; storage is permitted without consent under § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG. You can clear the shortlist at any time using the button on the shortlist page or via your browser settings.
Calculators on this website
The purchase-cost and financing calculator runs entirely in your browser. The amounts you enter are neither stored nor transmitted to us or to any third party.
Encryption
For security reasons this website uses TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the prefix “https://” in your browser’s address bar. While encryption is active, the data you send us cannot be read by third parties.
Your rights
You have the following rights against us in respect of your personal data:
- access to the data processed (Article 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate data and completion of incomplete data (Article 16 GDPR)
- erasure (Article 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Article 20 GDPR)
- objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21 GDPR)
- withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Article 7(3) GDPR)
Right to lodge a complaint
Without prejudice to any other remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority for North Rhine-Westphalia is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information North Rhine-Westphalia, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.
Keeping this policy current
We update this privacy policy whenever data processing on this website changes — for example if a submission endpoint for forms, a map service or an analytics tool is added. The version published here is the one that applies.
